CUUF Small Group Ministry

Gathering in Intention, Living Our Values
Every Wednesday at Noon
Saron Lutheran Church, 517 Ninth Avenue West in Ashland
Leader: Ellie Williams

An intention is more than a wish. It is a conscious choice about how we hope to meet the world—with compassion, courage, wisdom, and love. Although we cannot always determine what happens around us, we can choose the spirit in which we respond.

Every Wednesday from noon to 12:30 p.m., the Intention Gathering meets at Saron Lutheran Church. Together, we create a relaxed and loving space for quiet reflection, meditation, and shared intention. The gathering celebrates values at the heart of Unitarian Universalism: love, justice, compassion, respect for every person, and recognition of our profound interdependence. At a time when our culture often feels divided and discouraging, we consider how we might respond positively and peacefully—within ourselves, in our relationships, and in the wider world.

Everyone is welcome. You can come once or every week—whatever works for you. If you cannot attend in person, you are invited to pause wherever you are and join us in spirit. Shared intention is not limited by walls or distance. To receive the weekly reminder and reflection, please email Ellie Williams at elliewilliams1952@gmail.com

New! Chequamegon UU Fellowship Contemplative Services
3rd Sunday of Each Month
9 AM
Ashland United Methodist Church

Contemplative practices across religions honor that whatever is ultimate or divine is beyond our knowing; yet we can be oriented towards the sacred through beauty, shared silence, creativity, and in the language beyond words found in art and music. CUUF is piloting these services once per month to offer a sanctuary from the pace and noise of daily life. They will be lay led, with members and friends of the fellowship invited to offer readings and a reflection on topics and practices of their interests. No RE, hospitality, childcare, or coffee fellowship will be offered at these services; participants are welcome to go to a local coffee shop for fellowship after the service.
